Sbarro Invades Gensan

I used to love eating at Sbarro. But when I moved to Polomolok more than a decade ago, I only get to eat here during the times I visit Manila. So imagine my excitement when this favorite pizza chain opened a branch at the Veranza Mall in General Santos city! 

Sbarro. 

A chain of pizza restaurants that specializes in New York style pizza and other Italian-American cuisine. One particular favorite is the Chicago White stuffed pizza. It has two crisp layers of dough overstuffed with mozzarella cheese with pepperoni, ham, ricotta and pineapple. Perfect for cheese lovers like myself. This baby costs P179 a slice and P1,432 for a whole pizza. 

Another favorite is their New York Style and/or Gourmet Pizzas. For the Sox bloggers' visit at Sbarro, i also tried their Supreme Pizza which has mozzarella, italian sausage, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, pepperoni.. hmmm. with the addition of black olives and pineapple, I think this is their Super Supreme Pizza. :) I find it very filling especially for hungry tummies and not too oily compared to super supreme pizzas in another pizza parlor. It costs P116 per slice and P928 for the whole pizza.

Another variation of pizza goodness is their Pinwheel Pizzas. It is basically a roll, with all the pizza toppings and cheeses which costs about P110/piece.

Talking about pizzas, you would think Sbarro only serves only that. They also have other entrées such as this Chicken Romano which you can pair with rice. This dish is basically breaded boneless chicken fillet, peppers, onions, green peas in marinara sauce. Only P84 per serving.

Lastly, and of course not the least in their menu...only one of the dishes we sampled is the Baked Ziti. Enjoy it plain or with meatballs or meat sauce.
