General Santos city, the city of champions is turning into a new leaf...
with the rise of establishments and commercial buildings in this booming city,
Greenleaf Hotel
is a welcome addition to its new line of hotels opening in its locality.

Greenleaf Hotel is a deluxe hotel being managed by Asian Grand Legacy Hotels Corp, the same ones who operate Astoria in Boracay, Astoria Palawan as well as Las Casas Filipinas de Azucar in Bataan to name a few.
This magnificent six story hotel is conceptualized by Ramon Licup Design Group.
Upon entering the hotel, I couldn't fail but notice the aesthetically beautiful interiors designed by Arch. Pauline Yusay of CEBEA. The interiors is described as modern contemporary with a touch of Zen. Guests wouldn't fail to notice the towering structures made to look like trunks of trees or a leaf branch with the ceilings filled with web like patterns depicting the microscopic patterns of a leaf. So in effect, looking at the ceilings, I suddenly had an inkling of what an ant might be looking at under the canopy of a leaf. :)
THE LOBBY LOUNGE
All through out the hotel, you will notice a lot of beautiful pieces of furniture and patterns in conjunction with their nature theme. All furniture are masterpieces of Murillo
and the Continental Pacific, both native to Cebu City. Materials are
sourced-out locally and carry a natural base.
Clearly the Tengs invested a lot of their money on the furnishings alone. And in my humble opinion, this is a well thought of hotel. Taking into consideration the aesthetics all around this hotel, the owners clearly went all out in the vision of providing a first of its kind luxury hotel in Gensan, worthy of every General's pride.
When I was toured around Greenleaf Hotel, this brand new grand piano just arrived and has just added a touch of class in the already sophisticated lobby lounge.
At the front desk, the capiz laminated counter caught my attention. It was definitely in conjunction with the nature inspired theme of the hotel...hmmm.. very impressive!
...along with these mirror laden pillars, seeming like stalactites
(only these were on the sides of the pillars :)
THE SCULPTURES
Sculptures scattered around the hotel including this gigantic wall resin masterpiece (including the fish fountain in the hotel facade) are all the works of Leeroy New. Mr. New, unbeknownst to some is a world renowned artist whose works grace the halls not only of CCP in the Philippines but abroad as well. Im proud to note that this young artist hails from General Santos city. :)
Upon entry to the hotel, you will readily notice this sculpture of falling leaves, for sure countless photo-ops will be made with this in the background of future hotel guests.

More sculptures and wall murals scattered inside the hotel.
The Function Rooms
For events, functions and weddings, the hotel has three (3) function
rooms which can accommodate 60-70pax aptly named as
Sage, Basil and Cilantro.
For a bigger function, the hotel also boasts of a Grand Ballroon
which can seat up to 450 guests
- the Pandan ballroom,
with swirling ceilings and drop lights reminiscent of the inside of a snail shell.
Whats impressive about this ballroom is the presence of an installed LED wall on both sides of the ballroom, for a high resolution presentation of AVPs for special events.

The Accommodation and Staff
To further experience the hospitality of the staff at the Greenleaf Hotel we (well my family of three) checked in for an overnight stay. And I'm happy to note that we weren't disappointed. Their staff starting from the gracious people at the front desk (especially to Kaye and the staff at the front desk at the time of our check in--sorry forgot all of your names) to the bell service (special mention to Ramsey who assisted us with our bags upon check in and check out) were all very gracious. We were served with utmost hospitality and excellence. Hoping they can keep it up for years and years to come.
Greenleaf hotel for me could readily pass for a five star hotel. But it is categorized as a deluxe hotel/four star since its rooms measures about 30 square feet. But its still plenty of room for business travelers who are looking for luxurious amenities.

Grabe ang ganda ng hotel!!!
thanks zen! o kelan punta mo ng gensan? :)
Hehe di ko pa alam Pero isa ang gensan sa pupuntahan ko kung magtour kami ulit.
This is looking so incredible Pinay. Finding such places is seems becoming my passion these days. I've been looking over internet to find these kind of place and I was so amazed with the luxury people are providing in their hotels. Things have really changed, people are more likely to spend their holidays in luxury rather than choosing a place closer to nature. I like my holidays to be spent in cool and no service place area, where you can just feel the nature. Thanks for sharing a great post.
thanks Ms. Emma. We at Gensan are proud of this latest addition to the city. But if you are a nature lover, there are still a lot of places around the Soccsksargen area that are worth visiting. Thanks for dropping by my blog! :)
You have such awesome post, I have read more about it, But seriously that different learning for me. Thanks for share.
