Morocco Rooms in the Middle of Gensan

Fancy a trip to Morocco without leaving the island? Well, now you can have a feel of Moorish interiors at Gensan's Morocco Rooms by Hotel San Marco.  

The Morocco Rooms is a quaint hostel located right in front of Hotel San Marco. As you enter the hostel, there are tables and chairs up front instead of the usual lobby. Moroccan accents are evident in the walls and hallways. Now I've never been anywhere near the African continent, much less Morocco, but the seemingly dark hallways and the textured paint of the walls depicting a wall made of plaster and clay does give the impression of being in rustic Morocco. 

The front desk as I discovered is nowhere near the entrance. You have to walk all the way through a stretch of hallway to reach the front desk. Hmmm.. not very convenient for walk ins who would inquire for a room, but I guess maybe they have reasons for putting it way at the end of a hallway. 

But during my visit there, I was lucky to be shown the Standard Twin Room. Their beds are fairly big in size so I suppose a family of four can sleep comfortably in this accommodation. 

All their rooms are airconditioned with TV sets and a bathroom.

I noticed that even if their aim is to be a budget hostel for budget conscious travelers, they didn't scrimp on the furniture much. You could say it is a toned down version of Hotel San Marco, but for a minimal fee, I'm sure guests who will stay here will still find the rooms really nice and savvy for its price range.
